Lacunae Issue 28
What does it mean to be a psychoanalyst? How does an analysis progress over the years in terms of symptom metamorphosis? What exactly is the unconscious? How do we situate ourselves within today’s discourses of didactic prescriptive advice and the information deluge we find ourselves in? These questions and more are addressed by the authors in this generally themed issue of Lacunae, which features a diverse yet complementary range of articles written by established and emerging writers within the fields of psychoanalysis and other disciplines. As an international journal of psychoanalysis, Lacunae welcomes interdisciplinary engagement with the field of psychoanalysis and is committed to maintaining fresh perspectives on current and historical issues within the field. This issue features several articles that boldly push the frontiers of knowledge in this regard, while others expand on these frontiers from within established Lacanian theory.
