OVERVIEW
Jacques Lacan, in his essay “Lacan and the Cosmos” discusses how the idea of a cosmos (a unified, ordered universe) is challenged by scientific advancements which fragment the perceived concepts of the cosmos.
Living systems are constantly shifting and are unpredictable. Emotional experience is not bounded by one’s own individual skin, and is not the property of the individual alone. Rather, it is bounded by the system or systems in which individuals interact in collaboration or in conflict with each other and within their context.
In this Workshop Speakers are engaged with the realm of what sometimes cannot be symbolised and leads to disruption, anxiety and fear of being rendered an object only.
