Annie G. Rogers, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychoanalysis and Clinical Psychology at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. She is the co-director of the Program in Psychoanalytic Studies at the college, and teaches on the faculty of the Lacanian School of Psychoanalysis in San Francisco. A practising analyst, she is the author of ‘A Shining Affliction’ (Penguin Viking, 1995), and ‘The Unsayable’ (Random House, 2006), as well as academic articles, memoir, short fiction and poetry. Her book, ‘Incandescent Alphabets: Psychosis and the Enigma of Language’, will be published by Karnac Books in 2016.
